Son Heung-min’s Future Uncertain Amid Saudi Interest and Pre-Season Commitments

Son Heung-min led Tottenham to their first trophy in 17 years by winning the Europa League, but his future remains in doubt amid interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.

Although Spurs triggered a one-year extension in January, keeping Son under contract until 2026, they may consider offers this summer to avoid losing him on a free.

According to the BBC, any potential move could be delayed until after Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Asia, where Son is a key figure in the club’s commercial plans. The tour includes matches against Arsenal in Hong Kong on July 31 and Newcastle in Seoul on August 3, with Son contractually obliged to play.

Son recently commented on his future, saying, “I still have one more year left… let’s wait and see what happens.”

Having previously rejected offers from Saudi Arabia, Son may now be open to a move. With 173 goals in 454 appearances, he is Tottenham’s fourth-highest all-time scorer. His future is expected to be a major decision for newly appointed head coach Thomas Frank.
