Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant is reportedly intrigued by the possibility of joining the Houston Rockets or San Antonio Spurs, as trade speculation around the 15-time All-Star continues to gain momentum.

According to Jake Fischer via the Stein Line newsletter, there is a strong belief that Durant finds both Texas teams to be appealing destinations. “It is widely presumed, furthermore, that landing with the Spurs or Rockets in Texas is highly appealing to the player himself,” Fischer wrote.
Fischer also mentioned that the Spurs, Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, and to a lesser extent the Toronto Raptors, have been consistently brought up by league executives as teams with varying degrees of interest in acquiring Durant.
This report was later reinforced by The Athletic’s Sam Amick, Jon Krawczynski, and Kelly Iko, who noted that Durant prefers to play for either San Antonio or Houston.
Despite turning 37 in September, Durant remains one of the league’s most productive players. Last season, he averaged 26.6 points on 52.7 percent shooting, along with 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists. Now entering his 18th NBA season, he has shown no signs of slowing down.
With his performance still at a high level, Durant is expected to draw significant interest. The only remaining question is which team will make the move—and what it will take to land him.
