Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal will be among the nominees for the 2025 Ballon d’Or at the Chatelet Theater in Paris on Monday, September 22.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a stunning 2024/25 season, registering 18 goals and 25 assists in 55 appearances as Barça lifted both La Liga and the Copa del Rey. His performances have made him one of the standout candidates for world football’s most prestigious individual award.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé is widely tipped as the favourite, but Yamal and fellow Barça winger Raphinha are also firmly in the running.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Yamal will be joined by 20 family members at the ceremony, all dressed in outfits designed by Dolce & Gabbana, underlining the youngster’s determination to make the evening a memorable one.
Should Yamal pull off a shock win, he is understood to have organised a private celebration in Paris to mark the milestone.
All eyes will be on Paris as football awaits to see whether the teenager can crown his breakthrough season with the ultimate prize.
