Spurs Crisis Deepens as Villa Come From Behind to Win 3-2

Tottenham’s nightmare start to the Premier League season has taken another turn as Aston Villa secured a 3-2 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Johan Manzambi opened the scoring just before half-time, before Nicolas Jackson doubled Villa’s lead and Emi Buendia produced a stunning long-range strike to make it 3-0. Spurs finally ended their league goal drought through Conor Gallagher and Jan Paul van Hecke, but the comeback came too late.

The defeat leaves Tottenham winless after five league games with just two points, dropping them into the relegation zone. It is also their worst-ever start to a Premier League season by points and goal difference.

Roberto De Zerbi admitted he was “very disappointed, very sad, very frustrated” and said the pressure is now firmly on his side after another poor result.

£300m+ spent. Five games. Zero wins. Now in the relegation zone. How long can De Zerbi survive?
