Lionel Messi continues to rewrite the record books. At 39, the Argentine scored his 100th goal for Inter Miami and helped the club beat Cruz Azul 2-0 to win the Campeones Cup.
Messi reached the milestone in the 24th minute, heading in from Luis Suárez’s cross. He then turned provider, delivering the corner for Casemiro to head home Miami’s second goal in the 81st minute.
The trophy is Messi’s 48th of his career, further extending his record as football’s most decorated player. Since arriving in Miami in 2023, his impact has gone far beyond goals, helping transform the club into a consistent trophy-winning side.
39 years old. 100 goals for Inter Miami. 48 trophies. And Messi still isn’t done.
