Vinicius Jr ready to quit Real Madrid after clash with Xabi Alonso

Brazilian superstar Vinicius Junior has reportedly told close friends he is open to leaving Real Madrid following a major fallout with new manager Xabi Alonso.

The 25-year-old winger feels disrespected by the former Liverpool midfielder, with tensions boiling over during Madrid’s El Clasico win over Barcelona last weekend.

Vinicius was visibly furious after being substituted with 20 minutes left, shouting “Me? Gaffer, me?” before storming down the tunnel and saying: “It’s always me… I’d better leave.
He later returned to the bench, but sources suggest his relationship with Alonso is now beyond repair.

Should he leave the Bernabéu, Premier League giants are expected to launch bids for the Brazilian, who has 111 goals in 316 games for Madrid and eight in 43 for Brazil.
Vinicius famously scored the winner in the 2022 Champions League Final against Liverpool, and also netted in the 2024 Final against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.
