The 2026 FIFA World Cup will make history by launching with three separate opening ceremonies across its host nations — Mexico, Canada, and the United States. The celebrations are designed to reflect the tournament’s unprecedented scale as the first World Cup jointly hosted by three countries.

Mexico will kick off the festivities in Mexico City with a star-studded lineup led by Shakira and Burna Boy, who are set to perform the official tournament song. They will be joined by J Balvin, Maná, Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Tyla, and other performers celebrating Mexican culture and music.
Canada’s ceremony in Toronto will showcase a diverse group of artists, including Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, Elyanna, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream, and William Prince. The event aims to highlight the country’s multicultural identity and welcoming spirit.
In Los Angeles, the United States will host an entertainment-filled celebration featuring Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema, and Tyla. Actor Jason Sudeikis will also participate as a World Cup ambassador, adding to the spectacle before the U.S. opens its campaign.
Together, the three ceremonies are expected to blend football, music, and culture on an unprecedented scale, setting the stage for the largest FIFA World Cup in history.
