Paris Saint-Germain stunned Manchester City with a 4-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium, holding off a spirited second-half comeback to maintain their perfect start to the Champions League campaign.

PSG dominated the first half, with Désiré Doué opening the scoring in the 13th minute before Ousmane Dembélé doubled the lead just two minutes later. Vitinha added a third in the 32nd minute, leaving City facing a mountain to climb at half-time.
Erling Haaland sparked hopes of a comeback with a header in the 53rd minute, but Maghnes Akliouche restored PSG’s three-goal cushion in the 62nd. Haaland struck again in the 75th minute, yet City could not find a way through despite hitting the woodwork and creating several late chances.
PSG manager Luis Enrique admitted his side were fortunate to escape with the win, acknowledging that City could have scored more in the second half. The result also marked Enzo Maresca’s first defeat as City manager, while former boss Pep Guardiola watched his old team from the stands on his return to the Etihad.
