Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has declared Lamine Yamal the best player in the world after the teenage sensation inspired the Spanish champions to a commanding 5-2 victory over Real Betis.

Yamal opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a stunning curling finish, turning away from defender Facundo Bernal before finding the top corner. His performance set the tone for another impressive display from Barcelona, who have now won 11 consecutive matches across all competitions.
Rodri, Gabriel Jesus, Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo also found the net for Barca. Betis fought back through Valentin Gomez and Ez Abde, but their hopes suffered a major blow when Bernal was sent off early in the second half for headbutting Yamal.
Flick was full of praise for the 19-year-old, saying: “This is for me, at the moment the best player in the world.” Barcelona remain five points clear at the top of La Liga and will now turn their attention to a Champions League showdown with Paris Saint-Germain before next weekend’s Clasico.
