Bayern Munich were made to work hard by newly promoted Elversberg before eventually securing a 2-1 victory in the Bundesliga.
Lennart Karl put Bayern ahead in the 26th minute, but former Bayern academy player Maurice Krattenmacher produced a stunning finish to level the game in the 61st minute. Bayern then turned to their big guns, with Harry Kane stepping up in the 72nd minute to fire home the winner.
It was Kane’s first Bundesliga goal of the season, as Bayern maintained their unbeaten start and moved up to fourth with seven points. Elversberg, despite suffering their first defeat, remain sixth after an impressive opening to their first Bundesliga campaign.
