Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthäus turned heads at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony as he arrived with his 26-year-old model girlfriend Theresa Sommer.
The former Ballon d’Or winner, 64, looked sharp in a classic black suit, while Sommer stunned in a patterned dress complemented by a gold Dolce & Gabbana bag.
The couple, who were first linked earlier this year after being spotted at an Austrian ski resort in April, smiled for the cameras on the red carpet in Paris.
Sommer, who studied economics and management at King’s College London and later psychology at Durham University, now works as a professional model.
Matthäus, previously married five times, finalised his divorce from Anastasia Klimko in 2021. Asked about his relationship with Sommer earlier in the year, he kept it coy, telling German media:
“We came for skiing and the rest is a private matter.”
The pair enjoyed an eventful night where PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé was crowned the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner.
