Thomas Müller has played his final game for Bayern Munich, ending a legendary 25-year run with the club. The 35-year-old entered late in Bayern’s 2-0 Club World Cup quarterfinal loss to Paris Saint-Germain, with a potential farewell penalty overturned by VAR.

After the match, Müller thanked the fans, capping off a career that began in Bayern’s youth academy in 2000. Over his senior career, he made more than 700 appearances, scored 250 goals, and contributed over 200 assists, helping the club win 13 Bundesliga titles and two Champions League crowns.
Müller’s last goals for Bayern came in the group stage of this tournament in a 10-0 win over Auckland City. Speaking post-match, he admitted the loss was tough: “We gave everything. In matches like these, one moment can change everything, and it didn’t go our way.”
Bayern had already announced in April they wouldn’t extend his contract. Müller confirmed his exit shortly after, calling his journey “incredible” in a farewell message. While his next move remains unconfirmed, he’s been linked to a possible switch to MLS, closing the chapter on one of football’s rare one-club careers.
